Some time to— night the Hauroto should arrive from Port Chalmers with the hulk Onyx in t<tw. The vessel's departure for Rarotonga and Tahiti has been fixed for 5 p.m. on Friday next— one day early. This is in consequence of the Mariposa having a quantity of California^ fruit to be transhipped to Sydney, and the altered arrangements will enable the Hauroto to be back at Wellington on Friday, the 17th No\ ember, in time to tranship to the outward steamer for Sydney. NIWARU, FROM LONDON. A cable message from Sydney advises that the Tyser liner Niwaru sailed from there •on Saturday for Auckland and Wellington, in continuation of her voyage from London. The vessel " should arrive at the northern port on Thursday, and is expected to reach Wellington about the 28th inst. ULIMAROA, FROM SYDNEY. The Huddart-Parker steamer Ulimaroa sailed from Sydney at 8.30 p.m. on Saturday for Wellington direct, with 213 passengers. — saloon and steerage— for New Zealand, and 780 tons of general cargo for Wellington. The vessel should put in an appearance soon after daybreak on Wednesday. ' WHAKARUA, FROM NEW YORK. In continuation of her voyage from New York the Tyser liner Wliakarua, which is running under charter to the A. and A. Line, sailed from Sydney on Saturday for Auckland and Wellington. The steamer is due at Auckland ou Thursday next, and is expected to arrive here on or about the 26th inst. The New Zealand and African Steam Ship Company are local agents. The collier Komata, which recently de ljvered a shipment of timber and coal from Greymouth to Melbourne and Adelaide, is under orders to load coal at Newcastle for the Bluff and Dunedin. To the chronic want-of-trucks nuisance is again attributed a delay in the departure of the Flora, which arrived on Saturday morning from Westport. The vessel was idle for a good part of Saturday. She sailed for Picton and East Coast bays early this morning. In consequence of lier having been detained at Greymouth the collier Waipori will be despatched to Lyttelton before coming on to Wellington. The vessel, will probably not arrive till toward the end of the week. Messrs. J. Mawson and M. Paramor, late chief and third officers respectively of the Moura, have joined the Tarawera in similar capacities, in place of Messrs J. 8. Doorly and G. Knowles, who have joined the Waikaro. Advices have been received to the effect that the barque- County of Anglesea, of 1000 tons, has been chartered to load jar rah at Bunbury for Whangarei.
