The newspaper Engineering states that the Admiralty has placed orders for twgnty torpedo-boat destroyers, to have a speed of twenty-nine knots an hour. Their construction will enable them to keep the sea in all Avealhers. Seventeen of tho boats will be fitted ■with Parsons' turbines, and three with Curtis's turbines.
