HAURAKI FREEHOLDS,
Three jars of specimen stone from the Hauraki Freehold mine, Coromandel, are at present on view at the office of Mr. William Gray, Auckland. The richness of the stone (says the, Star) may be estimated from the fact tlrat it was insured from bank to bank, at ±/200, although the weight is only 19£lb. Another 301b of specimen stone is /lying in the bank at Coromandel. As previously stated, the Hauraki Freeholds is held under option for purchase outright, and it is now proposed to form a company locally to exercise the option. The capital is to be £27,500, in 110,000 shares at 5s each. Of that number 85,000 are to be offered to the public at Is on application and Is on allotment. The purchase price being £5000 will allow Is per share to present holders of. Hauraki Freehold shares, from which" will require to 'be deducted liquidation expenses, in the event of the option being exercised.
