In the course of his speech, Mr. Kidston 6aid it was unnecessary to elaborate the Government programme, which was bhe same as that submitted two years ago. Tho key-note was material, educational, and. social progress. He characterised the alliance of the Opposition and JLa>bour Parties as most unholy, hopeless, and helpless, so far as .the coaiduct of public business was concerned. The Premier considered the financial arrangement with the Commonwealth n fair compromise.
