WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL. NOTICE OF SPECIAL ORDER. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at a Special Meeting of tho Wellington City Council, held on the 26th day of August, 1909, the following Resolution was passed: — Tho Council of the City of Wellington hereby makes by Special Order the following Bylaw under tho provisions of "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1908," and in pursuance of all other powers (if any) enabling it in that behalf. 1. The Short Title of this Bylaw ia "Tho Wellington City Bylaw No. 7, 1909." 2. Clause 72 of "The Wellington City Bylaw No. 1, 1908," is hereby amended I by repealing the words "for the purpose of posting, painting, affixing, carving, inscribing or exhibiting any placard, bill, inscription, advertisement, or notice thereon" after the word "hoarding" in tho first line thereof. 3. Clause 74 of "The Wellington City Bylaw No. 1, 1908," is hereby amended as follows : — (1) By repealing th© words "post, paint, affix, inscribe or exhibit any placard, bill, inscription, advertisement or notice upon any such," and substituting in lieu thereof the words "display any poster, placard, handbill, writing, picture or device for advertising upon any." (2) By inserting after the word "hoarding" and before the word "unless" in the third line thereof the words "situated in, upon, or adjoining any street, private street, or publio place." 4. Clause 76 of "The Wellington City Bylaw No. 1, 1908," is hereby amended b}' repealing the words "existing or future" in the first line thereof. 5. Clause 77 of "The Wellington City Bylaw No. 1, 1908," is hereby amended : — (1) By repealing- the words "existing 1 ! or future hoarding shall be used as aforesaid" after the word "no" in the first line of said clause and inserting in lieu thereI of tho words "hoarding shall bo used for the purpose of displaying in any manner so that the same shall be visible from any street, private street, or publio place in tho City any poster, placard, handbill, writing, or picture or device for advertising purposes." And Notice is hereby further given that tho said Resolution will bo submitted for confirmation at the Ordinary Meeting of 'the Wellington City Council, to be held on THURSDAY, the 23rd day of SEPTEMBER, 1909, at the Council Chamber, in the Town Hall, Cuba-street, Wellington, at 7.30 p.m., when tho date on which the said Bylaw will come into force will be fixed. A full copy of this Bylaw is deposited at the Office of tho Town Clerk to the said Council at the Town Hall, Cubastreet, and may be inspected there by all persons during ordinary office hours.
