(BY TELEGBAPH — PBESS ASSOCIATION.") • TIMARU, This; Day. The Supreme Court sittings commenced here this morning, before Mr. Justice Denniston. The Grand Jtfry found true bills against George Mostyn and Moses Burgess, charged with assault and robbery ; Joseph Matthews, perjury ; and Frederick John Lewis, criminal assault on a girl under sixteen ysars of age. The jury found no bill in the case of Walter Coleman, charged with criminal assault on a married woman. The case against Matthews, charged with perjury, was remanded to the next sitting of the court, owing to the illness of the principal witness. George Mostyn and Moses Burgess were convicted of assaulting and rob-bing Duncan M'Laren, and were each sentenced to three months' imprisonment.
