The Australian oricketers were to have begun a match to-day at Uttoxeter, Staffordshire, against an All England eleven selected by Mr. Bainford. Owing to the downpour of rain, however, it was decided not to play to-day. Following were the teams selected : — Australia. — Carter, M'Alister, -Trumper. Noble, Gregory, Armstrong, Bardsley, Macartney, 'O'Connor, Whitty, and Hopkins. All England. —r Jones, MacLaren, V. Crawford, Buckenham, Barnes,, Blythe, Haynes, Iremonger, Lilley, G. Gunp, and Tarrant.
