RACE FOR DREADNOUGHTS. A COMPARISON.

By Telegraph.— Press Associati-n.— Copyright. (Received September 7, 8.45 a.m.) BERLIN, 6th September. During the next three months Germany will launch three 19,000-ton battleships and a-22,000-ton 27-knot cruiser, as compared with Britain's Neptune, Indefatigable, and the small cruiser Blanche. The' British cruiser Indefatigable is an improved Indomitable, which has been accepted as the type most suitable to head the fleets in the Pacific. She is of 18j000 tons, and her contract speed is 28 knots an" hour — three knots in excess of the speed required for the earlier ships of the class. Better results, however, were got in the Indomitable's trials than had been stipulated for.
