The Daily Chronicle 'ieports that a cyclone has swept the Catania district, in Sicily, which suffered with Messina id the terrible earthquake disaster that overwhelmed Southern Italy a few months ago. Three thousand houses were destroyed in Scordia, a town of about 10,000 inhabitants, seventeen miles south-west of the city of Catama, anfi centre of a great orange-growing district. Sixty persons have been entombed under the ruins of their houses, and many others were injured by flying debris. Miles of countiy have bee., denude 1 ? of all vegetation.
