SAILORS' REST.
The Sailors' Rest was crowded last night on the occasion of the fortnightly concert under the auspices of the Wellington Catholic Seamen's Conference. A capital programme was submitted, items being contributed by the following: — Mr. G. W. Houchen, piano solo; Mrs. Mitchell, Misses Barry, and O'Connor, and Master F. Walsh, Messrs. D. Bonner, G. Bolger, Sommerville, Wilson, Conway (Manapouri), Scfimegeour, Murphy, Lansdowne, and E. Kain songs ; Misses Marshall and / Waller, Irish jig. A featurft of the programme was the clever caricaturing of wellknown citizens by Mr. Geoff. Yenning Mr. E. Kain, of London, also contributed several good comic items. The accompaniments wer» played by Mr. Houchen and Mrs. Mitchell. Captain Bonner returned thanks. Court Lady Glasgow, No. 8261, A.0.F., held'*a progressive euchre, party last evening, there being presest members from various courts, including those of Hutt and Petone. A most en.joyable evening was spent, and at the conclusion light refreshments were provided.
