The Manawatu Hockey Association is advised by the New Zealand Association that, after Thames, its challenge lies next in order for the New Zealand shield, now held by Wellington, i The following team has been selected to represent Manawatu against the shield holders: — Goal, A. Forsaith ; full backs, A. Kerslake and J. Walkley ; halves, J. Moore, H. Sorenson, and D. Simmonds ; forwards, G. Hammer, J. Fitt, W. Crump (captain), H. M'Gregor, and B. Webb.
