LODGE MEETINGS.

The fortnightly meeting of Lodge Britannia, M.C1.1.0.0.F., was held in the Oddfellows' Hall last evening. Officers present were : — N.G., Bro. M. Anderson; V.G., Bre. S. Guy; E.S., Bro. Faulkner ; permanent secretary, . , Bro f , Tbos. Osborn ; and Grand Master, Bro.' Looner. Correspondence and general business occupied the time of the brethren. Four candidates, who had received the pass certificate of the doctor and were successful in ,the lodge ballot, were duly initiated into the Order. Notification was given of a degree lecture next Monday evening, and the cribbage tournament with the Foresters' Society on the 15th inst. Court Robin Hood, No. 4428, A.0.F., ■held its fortnightly meeting at St. iPeter's Hall last night j C.R., Bro. H. Whitcombo presiding. The district officers paid the court the usual annual official yisit. The C.R. vacated the chair in favour of the D.O.JR., who gave a bright address in the working o£ the district for the last twelve months. Tho district secretary spoke on the financial position, which shows a very satisfactory progress. The other district officers also spoke, after which they were entertained by the court, and a very enjoyable evening was spent. Two new members* were proposed for initiation.
