(BY TELEGRAPH — PRESS ASSOCIATION.] AUCKLAND, This Day. A house at Birkenhead, owned by Mr. J. M'Phail and occupied by Mr. Wm. Sampson, was destroyed by fire, with its contents, on Saturday night. The insurances are : £225 on the building in the South British office, and on the furniture £50 in the State office.
