BANDSMEN'S SUNDAY.

There was a large attendance of lisbeneis to the bunds performing in Newtown Park yesterday. The assemblage of bands was the first of what it is hoped will become annual events. The bands and their performances were as follow ; March, "Newcastle," Tramways Band ; selection, "Bohemian Girl," Tramways Band; selection, "Gems of Operatic Airs," Jupp's Band; selection, "Scottish Airs," Pipers' Band j selection, "Dream of Paradise," Pet-one Brass Band. A collection taken up on the ground amounted to £31 2s 7d, which will bo divided among the bands taking part,
