ZEALANDIA RIFLES.
o At Spiller's Hall the presentation of company prizes to members of the Zealandia Rifles took place. During the evening there was a card tournament, with prizes for highest scorers—ladies and gentlemen—and a consolation prize for the< lowest. An enjoyable dance followed. Mr. A. A. Corrigan presented the shooting prizes —a collection of handsome and useful articles. Sergeant Hugo, non-commissioned. officer in charge of No. 1 section, which won the intersection competition for 1908, received the prizes on behalf of the winners. The successful section also secured the fine silver cup presented by Mrs. S. A. Rhodes, of "The Grange," for competition by members of the company. There were present, in addition to Captain and Mrs. Corrigan, Lieutenants Fallows and Columb, Miss Fallowes, Miss L. Fallowes, and Miss Lixton.
