Mr. Walden, the insurance agent against whom damages were recently awarded in an action by the Mutual Life and Citizens Assurance Company, has been found dead, hanging to a tree, | near Boonah. The Mutual Life Company obtained a verdict for £1000 damages and costs against Walden, who was an insurance agent in the employ of the Australian Mutual Provident Association, for defamation by making disparaging statements about the plaintiff company's business methods. The verdict waa for the full amount claimed.
