Yesterday, Detective Gibson traced J him to a house on the North Avon-road. Four police visited the place at 10 o'clock last night. A woman answered the knock, but refused to open the door. The house was closely watched for a time, when a man answered from within. The police demanded admittance, but the man denied that the person searched for was in the house, and declined to allow a search. He was told he would be arrested also if he obstructed, and two police entered the house. The rooms were searched fruitlessly, but a skylight was noticed leading to the roof. Constable Boyle got a ladder and tried to move the skylight, but broke it. The person wanted was found crouched on a beam across the skylight.
