HOMING PIGEONS.
Captain Edwin presided at the thirteenth annual meeting of the Wellington Homing Pigeon Society, held in the V.M.C.A. Rooms last' evening. A most successful season was recorded in the animal report, with a membership stronger than ever. The financial side of the society showed a cash balance of £19 9s sd, and assets exceeding liabilities by £40 2s sd. After the .adoption of tho report, tho following were elected members: — Mckis. A. W. Chaplain, J. Bolton, and K. Hoarc. Office-bearers for the ensuing year wore elected as follow: — Patron, Mr. A. H. Turnbull ; president, Captain R. A. Edwin ; vice-presidents, Messrs. M. G. Greniside, W. Littlejohn, J. Goer, F. Nielson, W. Jackson, T. M. Wilford, M.F., M. R. S. Clark, J. Casey, T. Ronayne, R. A. Wright, M.P., Lieutenant Duignan- committee, Messis. J. Elliott, W. Bailey, J. H. Glark, E. Griffiths, and R. Lowis ; lion auditor, Mr. A W. Eroskery ; lion, treasurer, Mr. C. Haynes ; lion. »acretary, Mvt A. Clark. Trophies won miring the teason by various members wore presented by tho president.
