WELLINGTON ASSOCIATION.

The Management Committee of the Wellington Football Association met last, evening, those present being Messrs. H. N. Holmes (in the chair), B. L. Salmon, H. Waters, L. White, W. A.uld, J. B. Paton, J. M. Oilier, J. Davidson, and A. Williams (secretary). St. David's Club, Petone, requested the postponement of their match next Saturday, on the ground that they cannot get 'their players to go to Mirainar. It was decided to inform the club t»t the fixtures as decided upon cannot be altered. A request from Rangers Club that their match against Ramblers be played on No. 8 or No. 2 ground, instead of No. 9, was referred to the Grounds Committee. The same club was allowed to transfer a junior third division B grade player from their B to their A team. Ramblers Club requested that permission be given their junior players to play occasionally on city grounds, since many of them live at a distance from Miramar, and getting to and fro is found expensive. The matter was referred to the Grounds Committee. Swifts Club was granted permission to play with Blenheim Club as a "curtain raiser" to the Wellington v. Canterbury Brown Shield challenge match on the 31st inst. There will be two 35 minutes spells, play to commence at 1.30 p.m. A communication from Canterbury Association stated that a team would leave Christchurch to play Wellington on the 3]st inst. "We hope," states the letter, "to give you a good game and to win the shield." It was resolved to inform Canterbury ot the position in which Wellington is placed with regard to grounds. Mr. D. Jones, of Petone, tendered his resignation as a member of the Management Committee, owing to his leaving the district. This was received with regret, and Mr. H. Godber was elected in his stead. Transfer of a South Wellington Ciub junior player to Congregational Club was granted. It w?s decided to inform the following threo clubs, who are behind in their subscriptions, that unless the amounts owing are forthcoming by Saturday ne-xt they will bo disqualified from playing — Wanderers, Thistle, and Rovers. A record of matches played against various associations by the 'Wellington Association since 1890, showed that 19 games had been won, 12 lost and one I drawu. The record was compiled and handed in by Mr. B. L. Salmon 'Some discussion took place with regard to the formation of a ground on the Town Belt. It was decided to write the various clubs, asking them whether, in tho event of the association being granted permission by the City Council to go on with the work, they would give assistance. Ramblers, No.' 8, Miramar, 2 p.m. (Mr. Fisher). The Appeal IBoard.— Messrs. JMunckton, Shields, and Hunt constituted to deal with the appeal by St. John's Club against a recent decision of the Management Committee in re-electing B. L. Salmon to his seat on the committee after he had played for Swifts Club, iianded in its decision. After reciting tho facts and relevant circumstances, the Appeal Board agreed that participa-

tion in a game by any member of the Management Committee constitutes a breach of tho rule. Tho hoard unanimously recommended fchat the match bo replayed, and that the fee lodged by St. John's be returned. No evidence was called. Mr. iW.
