HAWKES BAY KENNEL CLUB.
tfAPIER, 13th July. The annual show of the Hawkes Baj Kennel Club opened to-day. General trophies were awarded as follow : — Mosi points in rough -co a ted collie classes, Neill and Rennie ; best rough-coated collie puppy, J. G. Parker's Mosgiel Snider ; most points in greyhounds, 'Mrs, James Gleeson; most points in cockei spaniels, "W. C. Leversedge ; most point* in smooth-coated fox terriers, Johi Jamieson; fox terrier dog puppy, J. Hindmarsh's Bardolph ; fox terrier bitch puppy, J. Jamieson's Blowhard Bustle: best smooth-coated fox terrier, J. Jamie, son's Blowhard Bustle; best wire-hairec fox terrier, John Jamieson's Blo\vhar<l Briggs ; best Ii ish terrier, Janson anc Clarke's Whareroa, imp. The Scottish and Skye Terrier Club': trophies were won as follow : — Best Ne^ Zealand-bred Skye terrier, Mrs. W, Pyke's <La,dy Marie; best Scottish terrier Miss Hunter's Bracken Corrie; best novice Skye terrier, T. Crouch's Buller: best novice Scottish terrier, 'Miss Hunter's Bracken Tarn o'Shanter ; best Skye terrier puppy, Mrs. W. Pyke's Longford tron Duke ; best Scottish terrier puppy , Miss Hunter's Bracken Tarn o'Shanter. The Irish Terrier Club's trophies were won as follow : — Best dog, A. Robottom's Kaikora Knight; best bitch, Janson and Clarke's Whareroa Captive.
