At Henley regatta the Belgian crew, Sport Nautique de Giind, repeated its success of 1906 and 1907 "by carrying off the Grand Challenge Cup (crews of eight). In the final the Belgians de- I feated Jesus College, Cambridge. A. A. Stuart (Kingston R.C.) defeated Rudolph Lucas (Germany) in the 1 final of the Diamond Sculls (the amateur sculling championship).
