TPBEBS ASSOCIATION.! BURGLARY BY YOUTHS. CHRISTCHURCH, 20th June. Two lads, Dale, aged eighteen, and Fi&her, sixteen, broke into Kiddey's bicycle shop this morning. They were observed, and the police informed. The lads escaped from the shop on to the roof of adjoining premises, and took refuge in a large hay loft. They v,ere discovered after an hour's search and arrested. •HUMAN REMAINS FOUND. DUNEDIN, 20th June. The remains of a body were fojjnd on .Tomahawk Beach, four miles from Dunedin, on Saturday night. The limbs are missing and very little flesh adheres to tho bones. A doctor who examined the body expresses the opinion it is that of a woman about thirty years of age. It is possible the remains are tho.«=e of Miss Mleade, of South Dunedin, who disappeared in that locality last July, fome of her clothing being "found on the hill. SUPPOSED ROBBERY. NAPJER, 20th June. Mr. T. H. Dawe, of Port Ahuriri, met 'with a .serious Joss at the recent Hastings races, under; circumstances that point to robbery. He rt-as carrying about £60 in notes and some title deeds in a small wallet in his pocket, and felt his possession safe befoie going up on to the grandstand. On coming down to the lawn again shortly afterwards he found his money was gone. The police are making enquiries. INDUSTRIES WEEK. WANGAXUI, 20th June. The Xew Zealand Industries Week was inaugurated yesterday. There were capital displays in the shop windows. PALMERSTON, 20th June. Industries Week starts to-morrow. Already many displays have been prepared, and there has been great enthusiasm in the matter, all the staple industries of New Zealand being excellently represented. The town is beginning to fill for the show and accommodation is at a premium. FEVER PATIENTS. DUNEDIN, 20ih June. As the fever hospital at Lake Logan is full, and as Dr. Ogslon, the Health Officer, wants a female patient from Abbots ford sent there, a special meeting of the Hospital Board was held this morning to consider the r > ition. It was held by the board that under the Act they are not required to admit a patient where isolation can be enected, and as both the Health Officer and the medical man in tho case certify that the pStient can be isolated the board decided to wire Dr. Valintine, the head of' I'the1 ' the Health Department, to that effect. The board will also point out that as the hospital is already full they consider that the patient should be isolated in her own home. DEATH OF A BOY. AUCKLAND, 19th June. At the inquest on the boy Edward Dillon, whose body wns recovered from the harbour under circumstances pointing to suicide, a verdict was returned that he met his death by jumping into the water while temporarily insane. Ho had been subject to fits.
