A sthemc to work the reef half-way between the New Big River and Blackball has been put forwaid in Reef ton. The proposed capita' is 30,000 in 10s shaies The reet has been struck, but the superfluity of water requires extended treatment. Over a quarter of the shaies required have been applied for locally. New Caledonian icports state that the reef track has been struck. The New Ulster has also cut a reef track sft wide.
