TRADES CONFERENCE.
The election of seven delegates from the Wellington Trades and Labour Council to the Trades' Conference will take place this evening. There are eighteen candidates for the seven vacancies, namely : — Messrs. W. Noot, F. Reyling, L- Sjoberg, and W. Cooper (Painters), F. Browne (Builders' Labourers), M. J. Reardon (General Labourers'), W. Naughton (Bookbinders'), J. Dowdall, G. G. Farland, Len. Jones, D. M'Laren, M.P., a-nd W. Williams (Waterside Workers'), A.' H. Cooper (Butchers'), W. T. Young (Seamen), E. J. Carey (Cooks and Waiters'), W. Wagstaff (Carpenters'), F. J. Lyons (Timber Workers'), and P. R. Robinson (Flaxmill Hands', Manawatu). Mr. Noot is president of the council, and Mr. Browne secretary.
