Pawa, Exmoor, Indian Mutiny, Tilson, Auratus, aud Astraea were amongst ihe horses which arrived yesterday. Heavy rain fell during the night, making the tracks somewhat holding. Prosser's team were out early, all doing strong work, Pawa especially going well. After breakfast, Slippery Queen left fivts furlongs behind very smartly. St. Bill and Win-all were given a couple of .bolid rounds separately. Tilson pleased (he touts, covering a couple of rounds £.\t three-quarter pace, pulling double. Indian Mutiny also galloped very reso.iiitely over the same distance. Chase \ 4!fa.b was given similar work. Whimper \i \*s restricted to long slow work. A straea sprinted five furlongs in taking sis Fie. Mocassin and Rangihaeta each dii i useful gallops, both moving well. Bm <vrio acquitted himself well over the schx "> sling hurdles. Irish Eifle and Daisy Pan \ were sent a mile on the rourse prop 2r, to test the state of the going, whici 'i proved very satisfactory a-t the bend where it, was so bad in March last. Irish . Rifle had a deal the worst of the weight 3, but easily held his own, neither being i jxtended. .^
