Messrs. Levien, Shalkraes and Co., adverti&e a sale of pot plants, roses, and flowering shrubs to be held on account of Messrs. Evans and Son, Taita Nursery, at the Central Auction Rooms, WifLis-street, on Friday next. The time fixed for the &ale is half past twelve. Messrs. Bertenshaw and Evensen announce particulars of a sale to be held at 41, Martin-square, to-morrow, at 2 p.m., when a lot of household furniture and effects, al&o a cockatoo, will be submitted. Full particulars are also announced of the sale of household furniture at the Island Bay Hotel, on Thursday, 27th May, at 2 p.m. Furniture may be inspected at any time. The sale will commence at 11 o'clock. The firm also announce the salet at the Kilbirnie Hotel, which is lixed for Monday, 7th June. The whoie of the household furniture and effects will be submitted. Full particulars will be announced later. Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., have received instructions from Air. C. Hopping, of Glen Oroua, to sell by public auction at Palmerston, on 29th May, his freehold property of 480 .acres, subdivided into nine sections. Further particulars are advertised in this issue. On Friday next, at 1 p.m., there will be an unreserved auction sale of nursery stock at the Fruit ■E-xchange, on behalf of Messrs. 11. 0. Gibbons and Co., comprising in all a collection of 500 lots of ornamental trees and iiowering shrubs, fruit trees, rosss, pot plants, etc. Catalogues are now ready for distiibutiou, and will be forwarded on lequest to Messrs. Thompson Bros./ Ltd. On Wednesday next, 26th inst., at 1.60 p.m., at their rooms, Messrs. J. H. Bethune and Co. are holding a sale of books, when they are submitting 1000 volumes, including latest law publications, Edinburgh Jt'olio Shakespeare, 40 vols., engineering and scientific works, works of reference and travel, standard and modern novels, and general literature. Complete catalogues are being prepared, and will be posted to any address". On Thursday, 27th inst., at 1.30 p.m., at the residence, fto. 143, Upper Dixon-street (at top of Percival-street steps), the firm, instructed by Mr. Clifton, who has disposed of his house, are selling his household furniture and appointments. The furniture comprises contents of drawing-room, dining-room, hall, three bedrooms, sitting-room, and kitchen. Catalogues are being prepared, and will be posted to any address on application. Messrs. T. Kennedy Macdonald, Ltd., insert particulars in our auction columna' of a sale of the whole of the stock in the bankrupt estate of T. G. Botterill, to take place in the room on 21st May, ut 11 o clock, without reserve. Messis. W. F. Shortt, Ltd., will sell at thoir mart, Willis-street, to-morrow, at 2 o'clock, watchmakers' tools, jewelIt ry, etc. Mr. H. E. Leighton will hold a stock sale at Lower Hult on Wednesday next.
