SMALL SCORES. IN THE SURREY MATCH.
AUSTRALIANS OUT FOR 157. THE COUNTY'S SECOND VENTURE. By TflegTaph.— Press Association.— Copyright. LONDON, 17th May. In the match of the Australian cricketers against Surrey, Trumper and Bardsley opened the Australians' innings, and the former soon retired, a "yorker " taking his middle stump. The first three overs bowled by Rushby pioved disastrous to the visitors. In the first he disposed of Noble, who had batted soundly for fifty minutes. In J the second Strudwick caught Armstrong low on the off-side, and in the third'he gave a brilliant repetition of this performance, Ransford being the sufferer. Bardsley gave a good display, playing the ball all round the wicket. The light was bad.
