D. BATTERY SERIES CONCLUDED. D Battery concluded its rifle shooting series of competitions on Saturday, at Polhill Gully. Gunner Plimnier holds the belt for the year, though Lieut. Skellev came with a fine final effort, which reduced the winner's lead from ten points to one. Saturday's shooting results were as follow : — A Class. 200 500 Tl. Lieut. Skelley ... Wickens 583 A. Class. — Q.M.S. King won the aggregate for th© first three matches with a score of 264. B Class. — Sergt. Wickens -ivon the second aggregate with a score of 259. Bombardier Simmons won Sergeant GriSHhs's No. 1 trophy with a scoro of 231. Gunnor Cotterill won Sergeant Griffitlis's No. 2 trophy with a score of 226. The two latter prizes were given for the agffrogate for first three and last three matches respectively for the belt.
