TWO YEARS' IMPRISONMENT.
(Received May 7, 12.45 p.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. Holland, found guilty of using seditious language ancl inciting to resist the police at Broken Hill, was sentenced to two years' imprisonment. In the course of a speech at Broken Hill, Holland used the following language : — "You allow Tom 'Mann to be taken to the gaol, and not one of you attempted to rescue him, and only 300 police in Broken Hill, and you call yourselves unionists. You have the position in your own hands geographically. How lonn, 1 would ib take you to stop the supplies to the ißroken Hill mine, and send Wade's criminals back? If you are going to fight, put a little ginger into ft, or, to be plain spoken, dynamite. That is the way to win. Do you mean to say 300 police are going to frighten you? If they hit you with a baton, then hit them with a 'baton. If they hit you with a pick handle, hit them with a pick! If they shoot at you with a revolver, then shoot at them with a revolver; and if they rise a rifle on you — well, if you have, a gatling gun, turn it on them!"
