FOOTBALL CONTROL.

NEW ZEALAND RUGBY UNION. The Management Committee of the New Zealand Rugby Union met last evening. Present — Messrs. G. Dixon (chairman), J. Laughton, A. Laurenson, R. Isaacs, F. Wallburton, and H. Kelly. The New Zealand Referees' Association asked for a ruling by the Appeal Committee on the follosving point. : — A player with tho ball in his possession runs across his own in-goal line with the intention of regaining the field of play, but beforo doing so he is forced by "his opponents to make the ball dead. What should be the decision? — Referred to the Appeal Committee. The South Auckland Rugby Union applied for affiliation to the New Zealand 'Eugby Union. — To be dealt with, at the annual meeting. The Hawkes Bay Rugby Union asked when the allocation of the profits of the tour of the British team would be divided amongst the unions. — Allocation to be made in accordance with the resolution passed at the annual meeting.
