BHADAME MELBA'S "PEOPLE'S CONCERT."
In our advertising columns there appears to-day the. interesting announcement that before saying good-bye to the capital of New Zealand, Madame Melba has generously decided to give a People's Conceit. This concert will ba given in the Town Hall on Tuesday evening next, and popular prices will be charged, Madame Melba being paiticularly desirous that any of the people who are fond of music should have an opportunity of hearing her voice while it is at its zenith. It is not going too far to say that Madame Melba is looking forward to this concert with as great a degree of pleasure as to many of her appearances before the most fasliion able audiences that have paid the highest prices lo hear her. The best seats for Tuesday's concert may be reserved for five shillings, and tickers for other scats will subsequently be sold at 3s and 2s. The box-plan is now open at the Dresden.
