THE NEW ZEALAND ASSOCIATION. FBI TELEGBAPH — PEESS ASSOCIATION '. CHRISTCHURCH, 29th April. At a meeting of the newly-appointed executive of the New Zealand Hockey Association, held after the annual meeting to-night, it was decided to disallow the challenging of the association's percentage of gate receipts in challenge shield matches. The chairman (Mr. Nordon) ruled that the English association's rules, immediately on being passed by the Home association, became operative in New Zealand. The Southland association forwarded a resolution recommending i Recession ot the New Zealand Hockey Association from the the Sports Federation. This was the outcome of the disqualification of the Southland Caledonian Society by the federation. Notice of motion was given that effect be given to Southland association's resolution. The following will represent the Metropolitan Hockey Club in matches against the Governrnent Life Insurance teams : A Team— Chaplin, Gendall, Gayford, Burbush, Kellaway, De Lambert, Kitching, Hall, Wrigley, Smell, Gedall. B Team : Pirie, Heginbotham, Smith, Shelton, Legg, Mills, Burdekin, Cower, Irvine, Guise, M'Naught; emergencies, Harris, Moore, Clarke, Marshall. ________„
