Fat Sheep. — Prime wethers, 15s to 18s 3d; lighter, 12s Id to 14s 9d; prime ewes, lls to 13s; medium, 9s to 10s 6d ; aged and light, 6s to 8s lOd. Store Sheep. — For ewes there was a fair demand at late rates. Lambs also sold up to rates ruling at late sales, very forward sorts making 10s to lls and backward lots 8s to 9s 6d Good forward lines sold at lls to 12s 6d, lowconditioned halfbred wethers Bs, and other classes at late rates. Fat Lambs, — There were 5603 taken for freezing at^s 6d to 14s, and a few heavier pens 'to 14s lOd ; 285 were bought by butchers at 12s to 16s, and 642 were passed m and sent to factories on owners' aceoant Fat Cattle.— Steers made £6 7s 6d to £10 2s 6d, heifers £5 to £8 15s 6d, and cows £4 15s to £7 15s— equal to 18s 6d to 20s for prime, 16s to 18s for medium, and 14s t.o 15s 6d for cow and j inferior beef per 1001b. Veal Calves. — Prices for average weights ranged from 4s 6d to £2 15s, larger calves making more money. Store Cattle. — Calves made 13s Id, yearlings 275, 15 to 18-months 37s to 425, 2-year steers '£3 3s to £3 12s 6d, 2-y«ur heifers £2 6a to £2 16s, 24-year eteer/j £4 15s, 2-year steevs £5 15s.
Dairy cows were in demand at £3 to £10. Pigs. — Lightweights made . 45s to 59s (equal to 4^d to 4£d per lb), heavy porkers 33s to 40s, and lighter 28s to 32s (equal to 5d to s£d per lb), medium stores 25s to 30s, smaller 18s to 245, weaners lls 6d to 14s 6d.
