SCHOGL COMMITTEE ELECTIONS.

•m i ADDITIONAL RESULTS. At the meeting of Upper Hutt householders there was an attendance of 76, and considerable interest Mas evinced in the proceedings. It was leported that a sum of £16 14s 3d was m the hands of trustees, to be spent upon playground appliances. Exclusive of acciued capitation, the tchool fund had £3 10s <Jd to credit. The new committee comprises: — Messrs. J. T. Benge P. D. Davis, W. Greig, A. K. Jowitt) J. Lambert, A. G. Martin, A. J. M'Curdy, J. Whit&man, and W. J. Wilkie. Mr. Greig is chairman and Mr. M'Curdy secretary. An increasing school attendance average was reported, it being 201 for last quarter and likely to be bettered in the quarter now current. At Carterton the proceedings were marked by a presentation from the committee to Mr. A. Talbot, who is lea-ving the Carterton school and going' to Greymouth, where he joins the local school. The committee is as follows : — Messrs. John Brown (chairman), J. Nicholls, J. G v Moore, J. Callister, H. Wilson, T. H. Hughes, A. T. Wilson, and the Revs. W. J. Elliott, and L. Ihompson. At Waikanae the nominations were Messrs. Brown, Elder, Hooper, Johnston, Port, Freeman, Williams, Coe, Bayne, and Mrs. Oochran. The first- ! named seven were elected. Mr. A. A, Brown was appointed chairman, Mr. A. i G. Williams secretary, and Mr. A. Johnston treasurer. Shannon. — Messrs. D. Gardner, F. Sowman, A. Smith, E. J. Judd, J. Batchelor, E. Law, F. Lindsel. Levin. — Messrs. James Malcolm (chairman), J. Robertson (secretary), J. Wood, J. Davison,' G. Cameron, G. Hooper, S. Hall, I. Hook, and C. Palmer. A credit balance of over £70 was reported; mainly proceeds of a bazaar. Onau. — Messrs. A. Whiley (chairman), J. Richards (secretary), C. Olsen, S. M'Donald, J. Davies, W. Clark, F. O'Farrell.
