£BT TELEGRAPH.^ — PBKSS ASSOCIATION.] AUCKLAND, This Day. Judge Edger, of the Native Land Court, died to-dl.ay. Herbert Frank Edger was born in 1854 at KimboltSon, Huntingdonshire. He was the son o-f the late l^cv. Samuel Edger. In 1885 the deceased judge married a daughter of the late Mr. C. Langsford, Auckland. He joined the Native Land Department in 1879, and ten years later was admitted a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court. In 1891 he was appointed Registrar of the Native Land Court, and a judge in 1894.
