AUCTION AND PROPERTY SALES

Messrs. T. Kennedy Macdonalct, Ltd., insert particulars in our auction "columns of a sale of household furniture, upright grand piano, and effects, on the premises (Bloxam House), No. 22, Pori-rua-road, Kaiwarra, on Tuesday, 50th inst., at 2 o'clock, on account of Mrs. J. Eagles, who is- leaving for Auckland. The firm also insert particulars of an auction sale of Irish linens, cam- I brics, bedspreads, Axminster and Brussels carpets and rugs, etc. (all direct from the manufacturers), on Wednesday and Thursday next, commencing at 11 o'clock each day. The whole of the shipment will be unpacked and on view in their rooms on Monday and Tuesday from 9 to 5, and special gaslight displays will be given each evening from 7.30 till 9 o'clock. Messrs. Bertenshaw and Evensen advertise an auction sale at the City Auction Mart, Manners-street, on Tuesday, The catalogue comprises silver and electroplated goods, vases, and ornaments, etc. The goods will be on view on Monday evening and Tuesday morning. The same firm also advertise a sale of horses on Wednesday next at Watt's Bazaar, Dixon-strcet. Messrs. A. L. Wilson and Co. insert auction sales of properties as follow : On Wednesday, the 31st inst., a property situate at Lower Hutt, comprising 5 acres 3 roods 17 perches, with 9-room-ed residence, outbuildings, and motor shed, will be submitted. Buyers will have the option of secxiring the whole of the property, or one acre of land with a garden, together with residence, etc. On Thursday, the 22nd April, under instructions from the Public Trustee, in the estate of L. C. Haines, deceased, a section of land situate on Poriruaroad, Khandallah, will be offered ; also n residential villa residence of five rooms, with either quarter or half acre, situated in Bloomfield-terraCe, Lower Hutt, and sections 19 and 20, Epunistreet, Elm wood Estate, comprising half an acre. The firm also advertise a sale under instructions from the Registrar of the Supreme Court of a property situate at Petone. On Monday, at 11 o'clock, Messrs. A. L. Wilson and Co. will hold a sale of Messrs. Rash and Gooder's jewellery stock, and at Mr. Gill's residence, Abel Smith- street. On Tuesday at Mr. J. C. McKerrow's residence, Murphy-street, a sale of furniture (which will be on view on Monday afternoon) will be held. On Wednesday the weekly sale will be field at the firm's rooms. Messrs. J. H. Bethune and Co. announce in our auction columns that on Tuesday next, 30th inst., at noon, at Stokes Valley, near Silverstream Bridge, they are holding an auction sale of Ayrshire cattle. These are well known as Mr, Andrew Luff's herd, and comprise 44 cows and heifers, and 16 bulls and bull calves. A number of dairy_ utensils will also .be submitted, and as Mr. Luff is giving up cattle entirely, everything on the property is for absolute sale. On Wednesday, 7th April next, at 2.30 ])-m., at their rooms, the firm are submitting a business 'site in Ghuznee-street. This comprises land with a frontage of 30ft by 106 ft, together with right-of-way over a 4ft wide passage on the western side. There is erected near the back boundary a new building No. 74, used as a motor garage. The property is situated between 'Cuba and Willis-streets. ' Messrs. Bethune and Co. insert an aniended list "of business and residential properties which they have on their books for private sale, also a number of houses to let, both furnished and unfurnished. Messrs. Harcourt and Co. announce in our advertising columns that they will sell by public auction on the 27th April, at 3 p.m., all that piece of land situated at the junction of Knight's and Bunnystreet, with a frontage also to Barraudroad, Lower Hutt, the land having frontage to Knights-road of 368 feet 7 inches by an extreme depth of 394 feet on the northern boundary, and also a frontage of 80 feet to Barraud-road, by a depth of 180 feet, with a residence of ten rooms erected thereon, lawn, garden, shrubbery, plantation, etc., also a property known as No. 6, Featherston-terrace, Thorndon. Attention is directed of those in search of city and suburban property to Messrs. Harcourt and Co.'s new advertisement in another column. The firm is prepared to finance buyers on reasonable terms. Messrs. W. H. Turnbull and Co. draw attention to two properties advertised in this issue for sale on 20th April under conduct of the Registrar of the Supreme Court. One consists of a fiveroomed house and section in Coroman-del-street, Wellington, and the other is a five-roomed house and section in Ava-street, Petone. The sale will be held at 2.30 p.m.
