Sea.— Heavy on east coast between Cast'epoint and Kaikoura, also on west coast between Cape Kgmdnt and Foxton; considerable other parts of the west coast and southward of Lyttelton; moderate elsewhere. Tides.— High on west coast between Cape Egmont and Fo\ton, and on east coast from Castlepoint southward ; good on west coast of South Island, and also northward of Cape Egmont; moderate all other ports. Rain is probable southward of Napier and New Plymouth. Warning signal for westerly gale is exhibited at Capes Farewell, Foulwmd, Campbell, Stephens Island, Jhigget Point, and Centra Island. B. A.
