The polling resulted as follows :—: — Mr. Falconer (Radical) ... . „. 6422 Mr. Blackburd (Unionist) ... 3970 Captain Sinclair (Liberal) represented Forfarshire since 190 U. At the general election in 1906 he polled 6796 votes against 3277 recorded for his opponent, Mr. J. jsi. Bernard (Liberal Unionist).
