■» N.Z. CHAMPIONSHIP MEETING. WELLINGTON TEAM. - Messrs. J. H. Pollock, J. W. Heenan, and C. E. Bridge have selected the following team to represent Wellington at the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Championship meeting at Dunedin on the 20th inst. ;— • W. A. Woodger, 100 and 220 yards flat; also 440 yards if possible. A. E. Burge, half-mile and mile flat. G. S. Sharp, threo miles flat. J. Wallace, hammer throwing. H. E. Kerr, mile and three mile walks. L. M'Kay, pole vault, long jumr), high jump, and putting the shot. The following are to take part in a test on 13th March to deckle who will be the centre's representatives in the 440 yards flat.— W. G. Harding, Napier. E. J. Williams, Wanganui. J. Wilton, Wellington. A. Evensen will probably be sent to compete in the 120 hurdles and high jump championships. The team, so far as it has been picked, is regarded as a strong one. Woodger is in great form at present, but he will meet a rare sprinter in M'Whirter, the Dunedin runner. Burge, Sharp, and. Kerr should have excellent chances in their races,, while Wallace and M'Kay have performances to their credit which justify one in looking for victory.
