THE TURF. V.R.C. AUTUMN CARNIVAL.
PARSEE WINS THE ALL-AGED STAKES. By Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyright. MELBOURNE, Ist March. Although the weather prospects for the second day of the V.R.C. autumn carnival were much more favourable than those of Saturday, the attendance was limited. It was a new experiment on the ekib's part having the second and third days on Monday and Wednesday, instead of Tuesday fend Thursday, but it is hoped that Wednesday being the shop half-holiday and the fact that the Australian Cup will be run on that day, will ensure a big muster, and make up for the deficiency of the first two days ; but it is considered doubtful if such, will prove to be the case. * Hopeful Stakes, a sweepstake for two-year-olds that have never won SO soys (clear of own stake) of public money in one race.
