KING EDWARD.
«■ WELL PLEASED WITH HIS RECEPTION IN BERLIN. TREMENDOUS ENTHUSIASM. By Telegraph.— Free* AwoeUtlon.— Copyright. BERLIN, 11th February. King Edward is in high spirits. He appears to be well pi eased with the reception accorded to Queen Alexandra and himself at Berlin, and also with the elaborate preparations made for his civic reception at the Rathaus (Town Hall). There is tremendous enthusiasm over their Majesties' arrival among the Berliners, who are, delighted because King Edward is the first British monarch to visit Berlin since 1723. Delight is also expressed at the fact that hitherto no head of any foreign State has been the guest of the municipality of Berlin. King Edward vnd Queen Alexandra held a reception at the British Embassy for the British residents of the capital. A grand State ball, which was given ! at the royal castle in honour of their visit, was a great success.
