Interviewed this morning with regard to his intentions respecting competing this season, Dr. Guy Haskins, the well-known athlete, stated that he had definitely determined to compete only in two Marathon races — at Auckland and at Ashburton — as he had been training for these long distances. He had abandoned all idea of taking part in the New Zealand championship meeting, or in races over short distances.
