9 BOARD OF CONTROL LIKELY TO STAND FIRM. ENGLISH OPINION. By Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyright. (Received Januaiy 16, 10.20 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. It is believed that the Board of Control adhers to its original terms in connection with the visit of an Australian team to England. A member of the board received a cable message from the English authorities stating that the M.C.C. strongly supports the board and characterises the players as mutineers. The Board of Control proposes to take the whole of the money leceipts of tho tour, deduct 5 per cent. Irom the first £6000, 12£ per cent, from the balance, and hand the residue to the players. It the receipts come up to expectation, the board would have £1800 and the players £728 10s each. ADMIRAL ROZHDESTVENSKY. DEATH AGAIN REPORTED. 8» Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyi ight. LONDON, 18th January. Rc-uter's correspondent at St. Petersburg announces the death of Admiral Rozhdestvensky. In July last it was reported from St. Petersburg that tho Admiral had died from heart trouble, resulting from wounds received m the battle of TsuShima, where the Russian Baltic fleet was so signally defeated by Admiral Togo A few days later came the news that Rozhdestvensky was still alive ; that a mistake had occurred through confusion between two persons of the same hard-sounding name". The Admiral was born in 1848, and had a great reputation for bravery. For some time ho was chief of stuff at the Russian Ministry of Ivlariaei '
