Coulter (Canadian Deputy Postmaster-General) interviewed the Federal Prime Minister (Mr. Fisher) and Postmaster-General (Mr. Thomae) in connection with the All-red Route, and suggested that Australia should contribute a subsidy of £75,000 a year. Mr. Fisher thought tho proposal needed serious consideration, and eaid he was eomewhat appalled by the amount of the subsidy suggested. No doubt it was an ideal scheme, but it involved a lot of money, and the financial aspect of the problem was one that could not be lost sight of. A further interview will be held. Mr. Fred Glover (late dental pupil of Mr. Arthur Hoby), who went to London in March last to complete his studies in Guy's Hospital, writes by last mail that he has been successful in passing his preliminary science and first professional examination within the first six months.
