Henry Roberts, chief officer of the ocean liner Maori, was charged this morning with assaulting a seaman named Bolan. The man went ashore without leave to consult tho shipping master about his work, being in bad health, and the officer was ordered to follow and get a wan ant lor his arrest. When ashore he soized Bolan from behird and pommelled him, marking hi 3 face very badly. Evidence supported the complainant.
