Sea. — Heavy on east coast northward of East Cape and on west coast north of Cape Egmont, also at Capes Campbell, Farewell Spit, Foulwind, Castlepoint, and Stephen Island; considerable on east coast of South Island ; moderate elsewhere. Tides.— High on east coast north of East Cape and on west coast north of Cape Egmont, also at Castlepoint, Capes Campbell, Farewell Spit, Foulwind, and Stephen Island; good on east coast of the South Island ; moderate all other ports. Earn is probable northward of Kaikourd and Hokitika. Warning signal for northerly gale is exhibited at East Cape, and ior westerly gale will be shown at Cape Maria Van Diemen and Tiritiri after sunrise, and for south-easterly gale is shown at Capes Campbell, Earewcll Spit, Foulwind, and Stephen Island.
