RUEF FOUND GUILTY. I}/ Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyright; (Received December 14. 8.50 a.m.) SAN FRANCISCO, 13th Dec. Abe Ruef Was found guilty of "graft," after many weeks' trial. The -najority of the inhabitants of San Francisco no longer acclaim Ruef and ex-Mayor Schmitz. Ruef, a lawyer, was with Schmitz, ex-Mayor of San Francisco, found guilty on many charges of corruption. Schmitz was released on appeal, and Ruef liberated on bail, pending a new trial. Schmits is said to have been Ruef's tool. The corruption and bribery carried on by the pair was astounding. It took ten weeks, during which a thousand jurors were challenged before a jury was obtained to try Ruof.
