VENEZUELA'S DIFFICULTIES.
CASTRO'S ANXIETIES. By Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyright. (Received December 11, 8.10 a.m.) CARACAS, 10th December. President Castro is at Santander, Spain. He is proceeding to Bordeaux, France, and thence to Berlin to consult a specialist. He declares he is anxious to settle all Venezuela's difficulties. President. Castro is suffering from lung trouble. In October he broke down while making a speech in the Senate in the course of which he announced that he had defied Holland. Since then he has held out an olive branch in the shape of an invitation to Holland to send to Caracas a confidential agent to arrange the terms of an amicable settlement of the dispute between the two countries. There art troubles with France, United States, Britain, and all the Powers also awaiting adjustment.
