EDUCATION BOARD.
LAST MEETING OF THE YEAR. The Wellington Education Board held its last meeting of the year this afternoon. There were present — Messrs. Robert Lee (chairman), T. W. M'Donalrl, W. C. Buchanan, W. Allan, and J. Kebbell. The statement of finances showed credit balances on the following accounts : Technical account, £78 4s lOd ; secondary account, £112 Is 4d ; manual and technical, £417 6s 6d ; teachers' salaries, £561 8s lid ; deposit account, £58 8s 6d. Debit balances : Buildings account, £4375 9s 3d. Total amount to credit, £5093 lls lid; to debit, £4375 9s 3d ; leaving a debit balance of £1281 lls lid.
