» A BRITISH MEASURE. By Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyright. (Received December 9, 8.20 a.m.) LONDON, Bth December. In the House of Commons, the Prevention of Crimes Bill was read a third time. The measure embodies a provision for preventive detention. A court is empowered to sentence for that purpose, the minimum being five years and the maximum ten years, but the Home Secretary is empowered to shorten sentences. '
